From the PTO Co-Presidents
Don't forget that Picture Make-up day is Tuesday, October 27!
Do you have any pictures from your child's classroom or school events? It's now easier than ever to upload those photos. Send them to: yearbookdes@gmail.com. You can even upload from your mobile device. Help make this year's Yearbook a success! We cleaned out our pantries and made a difference! Thank you to all of our DES families who donated cans to the Atlanta Food Bank Canned Food Drive. The cans will be picked up this week, and we will bring you an update on how many pounds of food we donated once we have that information. Thank you again for helping feed Atlanta's hungry families.
Thanks,

Dunwoody Elementary School's Red Ribbon Week!
October 26 - 30, 2015
Red Ribbon Week was developed in 1988 to promote an awareness of the dangers of alcohol and other drugs. It is celebrated in schools throughout the nation. This special week was developed to honor the memory of Enrique Camarena. During the week of October 26 -30, we will have special activities to educate our students on the dangers of drugs and the importance of making positive choices. At the end of the week, students will sign a drug-free pledge.
- Monday, October 26 - Rally in Red Against Drugs and Bullying! (Wear Red Clothing)
- Tuesday, October 27 - Hats Off to Being Drug-Free! (Wear Your Favorite Hat)
- Wednesday, October 28 - Sock It to Drugs and Bullying! (Wear Silly Socks)
- Thursday, October 29 - Be on a Drug-Free Team! (Wear Your Favorite Team Jersey)
- Friday, October 30 - Pledge to be Drug-Free! (Wear Red, White, and Blue Clothing)
Drug Free Pledge
I pledge allegiance to myself and who I want to be,
Cause I can make my dreams come true, if I believe in me.
I pledge to stay in school and learn the things I need to know,
To make the world a better place for kids like me to grow.
I pledge to keep my dreams alive and be all that I can be.
I know I can, and that's because
I pledge to stay DRUG and BULLY FREE!
