Announcements

From the PTO Co-Presidents

We end February with a Principal's Coffee on Wednesday the 25th. Two topics will be discussed including Orton Gillingham presented by Ms. Shelton and Ms. Slaton and Lexile Scores presented by Ms. Gurin. We hope you can join us on Wednesday at 7:45 am.

March is a busy month for the PTO. Our Staff Appreciation committee is hard at work preparing for Staff Appreciation week March 9-13th.  In addition, our Book Fair chairs are gearing up for our Spring Book Fair which is held March 16-20th. During Book Fair week we will hold the last Principal's Coffee, the Spring Family Dinner and All Pro Dad. Thank you to all of our volunteers for ensuring these events are a success.

Stay tuned for more information regarding dates and times as well as volunteer opportunities.

DES!  Great job collecting Box Tops for Education since November!  Your efforts yielded $630 for DES!  This is more than double what we collected during this same time period last year!  Congratulations to Mrs. Lowe's first grade class for bringing in the most Box Tops and therefore winning the opportunity to wear pajamas to school on a designated day!  Also, kudos to Sol Cooper from Ms. Sampson's class!  His name was randomly drawn from a pool of students who contributed Box Tops, and he will receive a week of sports camp compliments of Dunwoody United Methodist Church!

Keep up the good work!  The next deadline will be in early May.  This is an easy way to earn cash for DES!  Thanks for your participation!
