We hope everyone enjoyed a fabulous holiday week. Only three weeks of school left prior to Winter Break and your PTO has a calendar full of events. Some of the highlights include:
5th Grade Writing Workshop
On Thursday and Friday of this week Carmen Deedy, award winning author and story teller, will work with our 5th graders in a two day Writing Workshop. Thank you to everyone that donated to the Tiger Fund to help make this event possible.
Spirit Night
Our last Spirit Night of 2014 is on December 9th. Please join us at Chick-fil-A with our 3rd grade teachers handing out Ice Dream.
Cultural Arts
The Cultural Awareness Committee is hard at work planning the December 19th Cultural Arts Program. This year we are using in-house talent! A huge thank you to Committee Chairs, Sushma Barakoti and Sirisha Ganduri, for volunteering and making this event so enjoyable for all of our students.
Classroom Holiday Parties
Room Parents will send information and guidelines shortly regarding Classroom Holiday Parties. Please follow these guidelines regarding party parents, parking, food allergies etc. Please check with your Room Parents and see below for additional information.
Staff Thanksgiving Luncheon
In addition, we would like to thank our Staff Appreciation Committee Co-Chairs, Kim Rivera and Terica Harleaux, for arranging a Thanksgiving Feast for our faculty and staff on November 20th. Thank you to the kindergarten, first and second grade parents for making sweet treats for the feast!

For those unable to assist, parents can certainly help by sending in approved items needed for the celebration. Since we have many students with severe food allergies, teachers and Room Parents will consult the parents of those children to approve all food expected to be consumed at the party.
