Announcements

From the PTO Co-Presidents

Thank you to the PTO members that came out to our brief PTO meeting on Thursday. The Nominating Committee announced the slate for our 2014-2015 Executive Committee. The nominees are as follows:

PTO Co-President: Jennifer Fenmore
VP of Ways and Means: Rosemary Watts
VP of Communications: Jan Jay
VP of Programs: Jennifer Boettcher
VP of Academic Affairs: Lisa Gurin
Secretary: Kim Becker
Financial Secretary: Terica Harleaux

After our PTO meeting we had a wonderful International Potluck! Thank you to all of the families that came out and enjoyed a night with family and friends.

Our Scholastic Book Fair last week was extremely successful.  Many thanks to our Book Fair chairs, Jennifer Seitz and Katie Frame, who organized this wonderful event. We also want to acknowledge the many volunteers, who spent their valuable free time helping our parents, teachers, and students shop.  You are all wonderful and we thank you!

The Principal's Coffee last Tuesday was very informative and we had a number of parents join us to discuss the Discovery Program eligibility process. Thank you to our Hospitality volunteers, Tessa Pickren and Erin Chen, for setting up coffee and breakfast treats donated by Goldberg's Deli.

The Pre-K lottery is Friday, March 28th. Please visit www.dunwoodyelementary.com for more information.

We have received numerous thank you cards from teachers, staff, and bus drivers for the special gifts PTO provided during Teacher Appreciation Week! Without your generous gifts to Tiger Fund, this would not be possible. Thank you!

Have a great week,

School Store Volunteers Needed

We continue to need volunteers to work at the School Store which is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:10-7:40am. The School Store is a great money-maker for DES and volunteering there is quick and fun! Please click on the Sign-Up Genius link below.

If you've never worked at the School Store, we will be certain there is a "veteran volunteer" who is there to train you on your first day.

Please sign-up and encourage others to do so as well. Thank you!
