Sutter's Gold 'n Fleece
e-NewsletterJuly 2014

Summer has "officially" started on June 21 and the weather has turned more seasonal here in the Northwoods. Our shop knit-a-longs are progressing and we'll be offering a new needle felting class in July.

We're excited to announce that Ravenswood Knit Designs patterns can now be found on Patternfish. We'll also be offering two new patterns soon - one is a dolly and me sweater pattern and the other is a market bag with an interesting detail on the sides. Look for them in our upcoming e-newsletters.

HAND-DYED YARNS

When knitting with hand-dyed yarns, follow these steps for success:

Always purchase an extra skein of yarn.

Lay out all of your skeins first and decide where in the garment to use them.

Knit with two skeins at a time, alternating balls every other row (unless you're working stripes).

Knit the sleeves last in case you run out of yarn.
