Mornings on Main

Mornings on Main has been a great way of getting to know business owners and their businesses! Once a month, a get together is held at a local business where local merchants can tell about what they do and how they got started.

For questions about hosting a Mornings on Main, please contact the Stockyards City Main Street Office.

Jack J. Wells
He Moved!

Jack J. Wells is easily the most talented western artist to ever call Historic Stockyards City home. Wells works with watercolors, oils, pen, pencils, pastels and charcoal. His style is realism and his subject matter is cowboy and western in nature. He is proud to say that most of all of his paintings and drawings come from his very own experience.

Wells has had more than one hundred pieces of art published as limited edition prints, magazine illustrations, posters and program covers. From miniatures to murals, his works are shown and collected worldwide by museums, corporations and thousands of individuals. Wells also drew the original designs for our famous Stockyards City archway on a napkin decades before plans for the project ever began.

Jack J. Wells has recently relocated his workshop and artwork to a booth inside Bently Gafford. Feel free to stop by for a visit with this one-of-a-kind artist and his many masterpieces. Bently Gafford is located in Stockyards City at 1320 S Agnew Avenue.
