To All Our Ballroom Friends  

There's something about December

with the Christmas lights aglow,

that brings us back to simpler times 

of scarves and sleds and snow.

There's something about December

when we look around and see

the smiles of little children 

as they trim the Christmas tree.  

There's something about December

burning embers on the fire, 

old friends exchanging greetings

and the singing of the choir.

There's something about December

we can't help "remembering when" 

and reliving all the wonders 

of that magic time again
