 Google (Android) and Microsoft (Microsoft Phones) are following Apple's (IPhone) lead and adding a kill switch to the next iteration of their phone's operating system. Apple's kill switch allows you to contact your wireless phone service provider and "brick" your lost or stolen phone, making it a useful paperweight and nothing else. This has dramatically reduced the number of stolen IPhones. Read more here.

Science fiction meets reality. Microsoft, who bought Skype not too long ago, has announced the imminent release of Skype Translator. The Translator will let you "talk in your native language to another user who speaks a different language". Ready (beta) by the of the year. Here's a great YouTube video that explains it all.

 (Men) Trying to make a baby? Take that Cell Phone out of your pocket! A new study reveals that low level magnetic radiation (EMR), the kind emitted from a cell phone, can damage sperm DNA. Cell phones also produce enough heat to raise skin temperature by about 4 degrees, that's enough to reduce sperm count and motility. The testing includes 1500 samples and reduced mobility by 8% and viability by 9%. So move that phone to another pocket. Read more here.
