Gotta Make the Morning Last
Our last issue was Renew, Refresh, Recharge. Today we recommend taking just one additional minute for some of our morning routines. This extra minute helps us to enjoy or focus on something and allows us to become more closely acquainted with ourselves and our surroundings. By adding just one more  minute, we are training ourselves to be more patient and aware.

I acknowledge Fr. Gary Braun, of the CSC at Washington University in St. Louis who recently spoke on this subject.
Examples
Here are some examples of things we could spend one more minute on.
1. Glass of water, coffee, tea.
2. Brushing your teeth
3. Shower or bath
4. Meditation
5. Spiritual reading or prayer
6. Admiring the sun
7. Walking
8. Morning workout
Exercise
This week I invite you to add one minute to some of your morning routines and reflect on the following.

1.     Did it help you become more aware, calm, or patient?

2.     Write down the benefits for taking that extra minute in any of those categories.

I'd really like to hear your results. Give me a call or send me an email.
