Too much of a good thing?
Hibernating is meant to be for a short period of time and can be used as a time for renewal and rejuvenation. However, as the saying goes "too much of a good thing can be bad." Hibernating for extended periods of time can have negative effects on our health and wellbeing. You can become reclusive and foster existing depression, exclude you from day to day activites or socializing, which is important to keep us interacting in healthy relationships with others.
Exercise
This week I invite you to reflect on the following:

1. Think about if you have ever used hibernating in a negative way.

2. Write down 3 benefits of hibernating and 3 negatives of hibernating.

3. Think of someone you know that uses hibernating as a coping mechanism and do you thing it is helpful or harmful for that person?

"The human body is designed to move...even in winter when you feel like hibernating!"
