| SCRIBING | |
In issue 330 (click here) I reviewed the six steps for a fulfilling day from the book "Miracle Mornings" and focused on the first step which is Silence/Meditation. In today's issue, we will discuss the next step which is called Scribing or Journaling. It's writing down what you are most grateful for at that moment. You can also include any other reflections.

The Connection Between Silence/Meditation and Scribing
| |
Imagine yourself sitting in a comfortable chair, watching trees swaying in the wind. Imagine yourself being peaceful, inspired, and filled with gratitude during that experience. It is only in this silent/meditative state that we can become more aligned and a part of nature. Some people may call this day dreaming which, in fact, is a very positive expression. Now imagine all your senses so filled with gratitude that you want to write down your thoughts.
|
|
My Example
| |
The other day, I observed majestic trees over 40 feet tall blowing in the wind. I was in my silent/meditative portion of my morning and it was inspiring.
What experience does this evoke in you?

EXERCISE
| |
This week I invite you to do the following:
1. Take 15 minutes to sit with nature and then write about it.
2. Imagine your favorite spot where you feel calm and peaceful. It might be your backyard, front porch, a park, the ocean, the forest, the mountains, or another gift of nature. What feeling does this evoke?
3. At some time during this week purchase a special small spiral notebook to write down your thoughts as you reflect on "blowing in the wind" or whatever nature experience inspires you.
I'd like to see a picture of your favorite spot, email or text me. Feel free to call me to share some of your experiences and together we can create a plan to make this a daily experience.
