MARVELOUS MONDAYS

May 25, 2015 - Issue 331

Who Fought for You?

Memorial Day Issue

Dear ,

Welcome to Issue 331.  If you did not receive a previous issue, you may use the archive link below to view it now.  The mission of "Marvelous Mondays" is to offer an inspirational thought, a practical exercise, some humor, or a simple tip to jump-start your week and to enhance your life, business, outlook or relationships.

Please feel free to forward "Marvelous Mondays" to others who will enjoy it.

REMEMBERING

Today we remember those who fought and fell in battle to preserve our freedoms.  We go back hundreds of years to such historic battles as the Battle of Yorktown in 1781 and honor those heroes, even though none of us knew them personally.

What about the people you do know personally who have fought for you and stood up for your right to claim and to achieve your own greatness?

At one time or another, most of us have procrastinated, drifted rather than focused, judged ourselves to be incapable or to be a failure.  And we have all been discouraged or wanted to quit.  Who fought for us?  Who challenged us to see our own greatness?  Was it a teacher, parent, friend, neighbor, child, co-worker, minister or rabbi, teammate, significant other, athletic coach, business coach, or life coach?

EXERCISE

During the next week, thank someone who has fought for you.  If that person has transitioned to the next life, you can thank that person by a prayer of gratitude and/or thank any of his/her family members.

I welcome hearing from you and am really interested in hearing what you have to say about your experience in this exercise.   I will listen to you and we will learn together.

INVITATION

Do you want an objective, experienced coach to fight for you, and to help you achieve your greatness? I am accepting a few new coaching clients.  Or if you have a friend who could benefit from coaching, don't keep me a secret.  Contact me and we will have a conversation, 816-213-0125.
