Are you Manning (leading) your team?

Yesterdays's Super Bowl featured the best of the best players. These athletes achieved star status
based on their work ethic, their talent, the talent of their coaches, and their willingness
to be coached.

Peyton Manning is a great example.  This 4 time NFL-MVP and star quarterback does not
rest on his past successes.  Instead he continues to rely upon and acknowledge the great
value of his many coaches.  Peyton and the other players become leaders and, in their
own way, become coaches to their own teammates. Yesterday's game doesn't change any of that.

Peyton and Denver had a great season and set many records. The very fact that they were in the Super Bowl is cause for them to be proud.

Leadership comes in many styles and shapes, whether athletic, business, or personal
matters.  Even the best, and especially the best leaders rely on the best coaches.

EXERCISE

This week I invite you to look at your career and notice if there is a situation
where you can exercise your leadership or coaching skills.

Write down 3 ways that you could benefit from independent and experienced coaching.

Invest in yourself. You are worth it.  Just pick up the phone.  I will be happy to listen to you and assist you.
