MANDELA BACKGROUND |
We know that Mr.Mandela (Nobel Peace Prize Recipient) cared deeply, passionately, and unselfishly for others. Some observers, including Fr.Gary Braun, believe that it was his caring for others, for the freedom of others, and for a better world, that fortified him during those 27 years of imprisonment and gave him "unyielding hope" rather than bitterness.
as you will hear in his video Mr.Mandela chose not to live "a life of quiet desperation".

FATHER GARY BRAUN

I encourage you to watch this short video of Father Gary: http://bit.ly/196qzLQ
delivering an inspiring and practical message about Mandela. This will give you the necessary background for reflecting on today's exercise.

EXERCISE |
This week I invite you to reflect on the following:
- What is your relationship to your world?
- What do you do to help people be their best possible selves?
- Do you perhaps at times live a life of, "quiet desperation" as described by Father Gary?
- Who are you being in this world and how does that impact others?
I look forward to hearing from you and getting your insights.
