This is a fourth in a series on Gratitude.

Dear ,

Welcome to Issue 234.  The mission of "Marvelous Mondays" is to offer an inspirational thought, a practical exercise, some humor, or a simple tip to jump-start your week and to enhance your life, business, outlook or relationships.

THE PERFECT GAME

In our last issue I invited you to rewrite a script about something you thought went wrong in your life.  I invited you to consider that it was a perfect plan so you could alter who you are today and be an evolving person.

CONTRASTING MOMENTS

Matthew Ferry uses the term "contrasting moments" in his book Creating Sales Velocity. A contrasting moment is a term used to express an experience or situation in life that we might otherwise label as bad or negative. Isn't that a more useful and positive way to look at our experiences? Now you can change how you express a situation by calling it a contrasting moment instead of labeling it in a negative way.

THE BENEFIT OF CONTRASTING MOMENTS

When we experience contrasting moments, we can then recognize and appreciate the things for which we are grateful. So, wouldn't it make sense to look at your "problems" as "contrasting moments" with gratitude?

EXERCISE

Notice three situations this week that you ordinarily would have labeled negative but now can call it contrasting moment.

Please feel free share with me and others how this exercise worked for you.  I will listen to you.

"Thank you, universe, for sending me this contrasting moment. Now I know how good I have it most of the time."
