THE HISTORY OF THANKSGIVING |
In 1863 the U.S. was embattled in the civil war. There was horrible bloodshed and division within the country and within many families. With this backdrop, President Lincoln issued a Proclamation for a national day of THANKSGIVING. He had the courage to ask Americans to celebrate a Harvest festival. So, despite any challenges facing any of us, we're still called on Thanksgiving Day to express gratitude.

EXERCISE |
I invite you to reflect on your year's HARVEST.
- What has your harvest yielded this year within yourself, your family, your career, or in other ways?
- Please list three things for which you are thankful.
- I recommend you express this gratitude at your Thanksgiving table. For some this might be a new ritual or it may feel uncomfortable. Go for it!
I really want to hear your experience of doing this exercise. Thank you
