Concord- New Hampshire Employment Security is hosting the Nashua Job Fair on August 19th 2014 at the Nashua Community College located at 505 Amherst Street, Nashua NH from 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m.
The first two hours of the job fair will be open exclusively for veterans and their spouses. The job fair will then open to the general public from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The Souhegan Valley Chamber along with the Town of Milford and SHARE are holding a job fair on August 14 at the Milford Town Hall from 10 AM-1 PM.

John's BBQ Chicken
On Friday's here at Gurney's we usually have a pot-luck cook out. Everyone contributes by bringing side dishes like Tina's delicious Oriental salad, or Pat's(Joe's wife) tasty potato salad or Debi's banana bread bars with frosting- which are the bomb! We usually cook some type of meat on the grill. This one dish in particular has stolen our hearts or should we say "stomachs". John's recipe is one we HAD to share. Get ready to have the most tender and tasty BBQ chicken ever!

Happy August! I don't want to be the first to say this so I won't but, we all know that summer is almost.........
It has been a good summer so far and the weather hasn't been too bad either! Charlotte's garden is doing well. We are getting lots of lettuce, cucumbers, peppers, squash and tomatoes. We haven't seen any tomato bugs yet thankfully, it was a big problem last year. We did see a doe and a fawn the other day and I couldn't get my camera fast enough. The fawn was beautiful. The irony of all this is during the spring when we have many deer in the yard eating Charlotte's shrubs and plants beautiful is not what we are thinking or saying. I don't' know about you but it's been a busy summer. Charlotte turned 29 again, my daughter Jennifer and her husband Dave celebrated their 2 year anniversary and my other daughter Hannah and her husband Phil celebrated their 3 year anniversary. Joshua is continuing to expand his college rentals down in Rhode Island. Everyone is doing well, praise God.
The grandsons are doing great. They are healthy and growing. Grant is walking now and Eli is getting ready to say Grampy for his first word, at least that's what I tell his mother.
Let us make the most of what's left of summer! Thank you all for your continued support.

It is the time of year when the Telegraph and Milford Cabinet as well as best of surveys do their best of nominations. When it comes around and if we are deserving of it we would appreciate a vote for us.
Update on the Broad Street Construction Did you know you can get updates on the Broad street parkway updates on the city's website.
Construction still has not started directly on Broad street as of yet. They continue to work across the street where it has not impacted Broad street traffic. They have relocated some of the utility poles, one of which is on our property.I would imagine the time is coming soon when construction on Broad street starts. When that time comes we will do everything in our power to make it easy for you. We will keep you informed and will use our Facebook page as one of the many ways to help keep you up-to-date. If you have not liked us on Facebook and would like to do so the link is below.
