The Annual Red Cross of NH's 21st Annual Golf Classic 

 

September 8, 2014

at the Stonebridge Country Club

161 Gorham Pond Road Goffstown NH

  

  

Proceeds from this event will help support crucial Red Cross programs and services.

  

The $700 entry fee ($175 per person) includes all greens fees, cart, use of driving range and putting green, continental breakfast and lunch. There will be awards, silent auction and raffle.

 To become a sponsor or register a foursome, call Alice Major at 889-6664 ext. 223.

STRAWBERRY JAM
 

I promised Hannah that we would make Strawberry Jam this year so we headed over to Lavoie's Farm this morning. If you've never picked strawberries make sure you don't wear a good white tee shirt. Not sure how I ended up with red juice down the front of me. Hard to believe I missed my mouth.
I'm certain you will enjoy this jam well into the winter months or as great hostess gifts. Here's an easy straightforward recipe from the Pioneer Woman.

It's summer finally! Sure seemed like it took it's time to get here but boy, have we had beautiful weather these past few weeks!

I hope all is well with you and your families. I am sure there are many graduation parties, weddings and cookouts in the near future for us all. News from my family is our grandsons are doing well. Grant had his first birthday party and of course Grand-Mommy made the cake and also made him a cupcake of his own, and he devoured it. (Takes after Grampy I guess). Here is the adorable picture below, note only evidence of the cupcake remains.



Eli is now 3 months old and is growing like a weed. He is in the 95th percentile of height and 88th for weight and he is long. He is also in the 1000th percentile for cuteness and I think he is a prodigy too but I might be slightly bias. What do you think? Here is his adorable picture.

Update on the Broad Street Construction
 
Did you know you can get updates on the Broad street parkway updates on the city's website?  
 
*Construction still has not started directly on Broad street, they continue to work across the street where it has not impacted Broad street traffic much as of yet. I did read in the Construction Contract Status Update dated May 16th 2014 under the heading of Next Month Ahead on the city's website that the work on Broad Street will commence soon. I know there will be times when traffic is going to be affected; I have been assured they will do everything possible to minimize the impact on getting in and out of our parking lot. When that time comes we will do everything in our power to make it easy for you. We will keep you informed and will use Gurney's Facebook page as one of the many ways to help keep you up to-date. *We continue to offer rebates on Michelin tires and BFGOODRICH tires at specific times of the year. There is a BFGoodrich rebate going on now and there will be another one from 8/25 to 9/21. Michelin usually has a fall and early winter promotion.
