Things happening in our community.
Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation's most valuable resources - our children; and to contribute to better communities in the future.
Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. The goal is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. Help your community today!

Cranberry Chutney
Every Thanksgiving is very special but this one seemed to be more precious because Bill and I was with family in Kentucky. We were so happy to see everyone, especially Mama. At 86, she came downstairs dressed for dinner in jeans and a cute corduroy jacket, a chunky necklace and a little make-up! It was a beautiful sight to see her sitting at the table and Oliver, her 8 month old great-grandson across from her, capturing everyone's attention. He is such a happy baby. Bonnie and Marty were such gracious hosts. Dinner was awesome! She whipped up a Cranberry Chutney. One word describes it: delicious! I think you will enjoy it, not only around the holidays but making sweet memories around the table with loved ones! Will go well with ham, chicken or pork!

Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!
It is mind boggling how fast this time of year comes upon us.
I am in Kentucky visiting my mom as I write to you this month; we decided to visit her for Thanksgiving. I wanted to say I am thankful for a Mom; she loves the Lord and has prayed for me all the days of my life! There were 7 of us here for Thanksgiving; the cutest one being her great-grandson, Oliver! He sure is cute, very rollie-pollie, looks almost like a little Michelin Man! Speaking of great grandchildren our Hannah and Phil are expecting our next grandson (that's right it's another boy for the Gurney family), to arrive in March! Charlotte and I could not be more excited. I know many of us have family arriving for the holidays and our wish to you is truly enjoy this holiday season with your loved ones, remembering the real reason for this season!
