The Pumpkin Festival is renowned for great entertainment and this year will not disappoint! Family entertainment by Amy's Family Jam and Steve Lechner, a little bit of country with the New Englanders, Deep Hole Road and Rob Oxford; and a little bit of rock 'n' roll with the Transistors, the Ballou Brothers, Russell Hill and the Slakas and B3!

When Hannah was 13 years old, she told her father, "Teenage and old age don't mix". I think that's also true when it comes to vegetables and children. Last week our daughter, Jen, told me how she recalls eating broccoli; steamed with melted white American cheese. I suppose a mother will do anything to get their children to eat veggies. Butternut squash was always laced with brown sugar and coconut. But when it came to Josh, he and yellow squash did not mix! Looking back, I realize that our dog became his best friend every time we had it for dinner; until this recipe.

Greetings!
October is here and I still have lots to do before you know what comes.
I hope this letter finds everything well with you and your families. All is well with our family for the most part. My mom is not feeling too well and that worries me, but I know God is in control and I know that He loves her. Charlotte is still playing words with friends with her almost every day and Mama can still win a fair amount of the games played.
Grandson is doing great and time is flying by. Our second grandchild as you know is on the way and due to arrive around March 15. Hannah and Phil are very excited, as we all are! Hannah is just getting a little anxious to find out what they're having but we will all know before Halloween!
