This Sunday, May 31, Trinity Sunday
On Trinity Sunday, we celebrate a reality and doctrine rather than a person or event. On Trinity Sunday, we remember and honor the eternal God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Trinity Sunday is celebrated the Sunday after Pentecost, and lasts only one day, which is symbolic of the unity of the Trinity.  Special thanks to Dr. Ellen Wondra for celebrating this special day for us.

The Vestry continues to solicit nominations for the Rector Search Committee that will begin work next month.  If you wish to be considered for this committee or if you wish to place the name of another parishioner into nomination, please click here to complete a brief nomination form.

Service Opportunities at St Peters

The Hospitality Committee is actively seeking hosts and hostesses for Coffee Hour throughout the summer.  Serving on a Sunday can be as rich or as simple as you care to make it. All that is asked is that you graciously give a few minutes of preparation to provide the chance for friendly fellowship following the 11:00 service.  To get more details or to volunteer, contact Lynn Kaiser ([email protected]) or Dan Palmer ([email protected]).

The Vestry has authorized formation of a Nursery Task Force to develop a report and recommendations that can be used by the Facilities Committee, Finance Committee and Vestry in addressing the needs of the 13 (Praise God!) new babies and their families who are members of our parish.  If you would like to serve on this group and can devote time over the next 4-6 weeks to deliberations, please send an e-mail to Robert Rupp ([email protected]).  This will be a short term project as the Vestry is looking to make solid plans and take action this summer.

Share Breakfast with the Lakeview Pantry

During the month of June, we are collecting monetary contributions and donations of breakfast cereal. Food donations can be placed in the donation basket near the organ and monetary contributions can be placed in the collection plates (make sure that they are clearly marked for the Lakeview Pantry). Every $5 gift allows the Lakeview Pantry to provide someone with a two week supply of groceries! We hope that you will participate in this month's drive!
