Saint Paul's Anglican Church, Monte-Carlo -- a community of Light on the Cte d'Azur
Happy Birthday your Majesty!
A congregation of about 70 took part in a special service of thanksgiving in honour of the official 90th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Great Britain and the Commonwealth. The Queen is seen here in a recent photo with HRH Prince Philip,  Duke of Edinburgh, who celebrated his 95th birthday on Saturday (10 June). Sunday's service featured familiar hymns, "Jerusalem" and "Guide me o Thou great redeemer" and a special birthday fanfare composed by Thomas Hewitt Jones for the occasion. A Rocha Delegation worships at Saint Paul's
A Rocha International at Les Courmettes
Joining us at the 10:30 service on 12th June, the Queen's official birthday, was a group of Christian environmental scientists from the A Rocha environmental study centre "Les Courmettes" at Tourrettes sur Loup. Some members of the A Rocha delegation were students from Regent College in Vancouver, attending a course at Les Courmettes.

Dr Chris Walley addressing the congregation
Dr Chris Walley, the Mediterranean Conservation Science Coordinator for A Rocha International, offered a very fine sermon, punctuated with a very dry and much appreciated sense of humour, reflecting that the respect, faithfulness, and generosity we owe the Queen must also be extended God and the world he created.
