Saint Paul's Anglican Church, Monte-Carlo -- a community of Light on the Côte d'Azur
Happy 90th Birthday your Majesty!
Last Sunday at Saint Paul's we took time to honour Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her 90th birthday (Thursday this week, 21st April) with a rousing rendition of the Queen's anthem, "God Save the Queen". We will mark Her Majesty's "official birthday" at Saint Paul's with a service of thanksgiving at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday 12th June.

The Annual General Meeting of Saint Paul's Anglican Church in Monte-Carlo takes place this Sunday, 24th April, following a shortened Sunday service. This is the meeting of the Church of England chaplaincy in Monaco and the Monaco cultural association which together share responsibility for the governance of Saint Paul's Anglican Church.

The Agenda for the AGM along with the annual report on church activities is available online:

Apologies to the Godfrey family: it was mistakenly reported in the Secretary's AGM report that their son Roland is no longer resident in Monaco and, thus, no longer a member of the church.
Not true! Sincere apologies for any confusion this mistaken report may have caused!
Candidates for election to the Church Committee
Two members of our chaplaincy community have accepted nomination in the election of new members of the Association and Chaplaincy Councils. Lay Reader Mary de Vachon (photo left with Ria) is a member of long standing at Saint Paul's. As a lay reader she is an ex-officio member of the Chaplaincy Council, and is standing as a candidate for election to the Association's Administrative Council as well. Tom Terrell (photo right, with his family) played  a vital role in the organisation of our ALPHA programme that took place in the autumn of 2014. He and his wife, Saphira -- and their one-year-old daughter Amadea -- are very faithful new members of our church community. Tom is standing as a candidate for election to both the Chaplaincy and Association Councils.

Chaplain's Warden, Rupert Katritzky, has now completed his first 3-year term on the Association Council and has very kindly agreed to accept nomination for election to a second and final 3-year term. Rupert is pictured below with Tim Humphreys, the People's Warden at Saint Paul's Church.

Now Bishop David will come to Monaco to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at Saint Paul's Church on Sunday 4th December (10:30 a.m.). This summer and autumn, any young people (11 years and older) at Saint Paul's interested in Confirmation are invited to take part in a programme of preparation for Confirmation focused on Christian faith and Anglican tradition. The programme seeks to offer young people a chance to question and explore their faith tradition.
