Cushion Artists visit Saint Paul's
Recently, Henny Wickes brought two needlework specialists to visit Saint Paul's, her co-workers in the project to replace our communion rail cushions.

It took the team of Henny Wickes, Jeanine Ontivero and Claudine Xhrouet from the Monaco needlework guild "De Fil en Aiguille" nearly 3 years of hard work to create these fine cushions. The cushions were modelled after those which Comptess Nina del Bove created for Saint Paul's in the 1950s and which had become worn and in need of replacement.
Organ Works: major repairs underway
Organ builder Saverio Tamburini, photo right, is the fourth generation in his family to work with pipe organs. For the past few weeks he has undertaken a major restoration of the pipe organ at Saint Paul's Church. This restoration has involved a thorough cleaning of the instrument, replacement of the bellows and, most importantly, a complete re-wiring of the instrument to meet the requirements of the building code (the addition of grounding) and to bring the electronics of the instrument up to 21st century standards. The work has taken up most of the month of February, with the result that on two Sundays (14 & 21 February) an electric piano was used to accompany the hymn singing and choral music at our 10:30 Sunday morning Family Communion service.
