Nick Humphreys presents Gap Project
Nick Humphreys

Nick Humphreys after his presentation
Nick Humphreys, who grew up in Monaco and was an active member of our Sunday Club throughout his childhood here, returned to Saint Paul's on the First Sunday in Lent, 14 February, to present the congregation with his plans for a very special "gap year".

For many young people, a gap year (a year out of school, usually between secondary school and college) is little more than an excuse to travel the world, gather experiences, and spend a lot of time partying.

Nick Humphreys has a very different idea about his own gap year opportunity. Recruited by the highly rated and respected charity "Project Trust" last September, Nick will spend a full year (2016-17) making an important contribution as a volunteer primary school teacher working with the children in the small Anglican village of Chenapowu in a rain forest in Guyana.  Click here to read more about Nick's gap year project with the charity Project Trust.

Nick now needs to raise 6,000 GBP to finance his year of teaching in Guyana. If you have it in your heart to encourage and support Nick in this truly noble gap year project,  click here to make a donation online. You can also send us your cheque, made out to Saint Paul's Church, with a note indicating that the donation is for Nick's gap year project.

R.I.P.

Vance Johnsong: Linda Johnson reports that her husband Vance died last week from the complications of heart disease. Vance was a long-time warden at St Michael's Church in Beaulieu-sur-mer, and we well known and much loved in the Rivera Anglican community.

Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon them.
May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace and rise in Glory!
