You'Re INVITED: Our Annual Church Picnic - R.S.V.P.

PICNIC on Sunday 14th September, at Brian Fenwick-Smith's country home in Sospel (photo from 2010). The Picnic begins with Sunday worship at 11 a.m. and continues with a picnic lunch. Brian is kindly offering a selection of local pissaladière, and we are asked to bring salads or puddings.
The PICNIC BUS leaves Saint Paul's at 9:30 a.m. and returns mid- afternoon.
Directions for those planning to drive:: Go off the Autoroute at exit Menton, and follow the sign to Sospel (right, rather than left down to Menton). Take the direct route to Sospel (left) when a branch in the road indicates Sospel both ways. As you come into Sospel turn left, then left again, go through the town and at a T-junction turn left direction Moulinet. After 3 kilometres the road does a big curve to the left and then back to the right. Facing you at the end of the C curve are big stone pillars with wrought iron gates, which is our house. It has the name La Beverade on the side but it is not too clear. But our host will try to put up a sign and also indicate where you should park, depending how many come by car. Brian's Sospel phone: +33 (0)4 93 04 18 00
RSVP TO HELP US PLAN! if you hope to attend this year's church picnic in Sospel. Please send a message to Father Walter at walter@monaco.mc or call him at: 93 30 71 06. The bus has been booked, but be sure to let Father Walter know how many seats you want reserved!

Mirella Fa and Enrico Favory celebrated the blessing of their marriage at Saint Paul's on Saturday 23 August. Mirella arrived in Monaco about a year ago and very quickly became a regular member of the Saint Paul's Church Community. She sings in our Church Choir and she helps Father Walter with the very popular French Language Classes (beginning again on 2nd October at 2 p.m.) Joining Mirella & Enrico for this very happy occasion were members of the Mauritian community in Monaco, some of Enrico's family, and the Saint Paul's Choir, whose members happily lead the singing for the wedding. Joe asked & Tina said "Yes!"

Older and Wiser (?): Frank at 60
| |
Joe Donald and Tina Bina -- regular members of the 10:30 congregation -- returned from their summer holiday in Croatia and Italy with big news. Over a terrific seaside lunch in Croatia, Joe "popped the question" and Tina happily replied, "Yes." Plans are now in motion for a wedding sometime in 2015. Every blessing to Tina & Joe on the occasion of this very important decision!

Saint Paul's was pleased to join Frank Megginson in celebrating his 60th birthday (23 August) at the reception following the Sunday morning service on 24 August 2014. Frank has spent more than half of his life in Monaco and most of that time as an active member of Saint Paul's Church where he now serves as Association President and holds the Bishop in Europe's license as a Lay Reader. A number of people were on hand for this celebration, captured in a series of very nice photographs by Simon Wynne, altar server and official church photographer.
