C.A.R. Legal Update
Member Legal Services has revised a legal article, Fictitious Business Names (October 23, 2014).  A "fictitious business name" is the name a person uses to conduct business if not using his/her own legal name.  The Q&A has been revised as follows: 
  • Section VII - Team Names-Section revised in order to reflect the enactment of California Business & Profession Codes §§ 10159.6 and 10159.7 governing team names.
  • Section VIII - New section added governing salesperson owned fictitious business names.
Two New RPA Changes Webinars November 14th by C.A.R. 
The second and third webinars will cover the most significant changes to the new, revised RPA, and will be presented by C.A.R. attorneys Neil Kalin and Howard Fallman.  There will be two webinars on the same day to accommodate more attendees, since this is such an important topic.  The webinars will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on November 14th.

Space for these webinars is limited and they may fill up fast.  You may want to sign up as quickly as you can. As soon as you register you should immediately receive a confirmation email which you will need to attend the webinar for which you have registered.
