Long Beach City College Trustee Appointment

The Long Beach Community College District is accepting applications for appointment to a vacant Trustee position. Candidates must reside in Trustee Area #2 as identified in the attached map. To determine whether you reside within the boundaries of the Trustee Area #2, please contact the Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters. The completed application and supporting materials must be received in the LBCCD Office of the President, 4901 E. Carson Street, Long Beach, California 90808 no later than 12:00 p.m. August 22, 2014. Art Levine (LLBI '03, EQS '95)

New Long Beach Board of Water Commissioner

Art Levine (LLBI '03 & EQS F'95) was also appointed to the Board of Water Commissioners in April 2014 by Mayor Bob Foster. He is currently a Professor in the College of Business Administration at California State University, Long Beach. He holds a law degree from Yale Law and a bachelors degree from Princeton University. He currently hosts Straight Talk TV on local cable television. He was a recipient of the 2002 CSULB Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award. He served for eight years on the Board of Directors of the Long Beach Public Transit and for five years (2009-2014) as a Director and the Vice President of the Long Beach Police Foundation.
