October 2013

The year is off to a great start!  Thank you to the students, parents, teachers and staff for your support and enthusiasm.
Etiquette Reminder
Please take a moment and review the following rules with your child.
  1. Students should be escorted to and from the building by an adult.
  2. Coverup clothing should be worn when traveling to and from the academy.
  3. Dance shoes should never be worn outdoors.
  4. If you have siblings with you, please keep them at your side.
  5. Running, jumping, and climbing on the furniture or cubbies is forbidden.
  6. Noise in the lobby should be kept to a minimum to respect an appropriate learning environment.
  7. Street shoes should never be worn in the classrooms.
  8. Children are not permitted in the classrooms without a teacher.
  9. No candy, gum, or soft drinks are allowed in the studios. Water is allowed and students may bring a bottle of water to class.
  10. Eating should be done at the tables.
  11. All students are expected to adhere to the dress code.
  12. All absences must be reported to the academy prior to the absence by phone call or email.
  13. Missed dance classes may be made up in a class at the equivalent level or lower, in the same discipline.
  14. Arrive on time.  Late admittance to a class is at the teacher's discretion.  For their safety, your child will not be able to participate in class if they arrive more than 15 minutes late. They will, however, be able to observe the class. Tardy students are asked to enter the studio between exercises.
  15. Be sure your children, especially 3 to 6 year olds, use the restroom before entering the classroom.

Thank you for your support!

Costume Measurements
We believe that every minute of class time is highly valuable.  We do not waste class time by having the instructors measure the students in the classroom.  To ensure that students are fitted for the proper size costume, they will be carefully measured by our staff beginning November 1, during scheduled class times.
REMINDER:  Costume fees will be auto-charged on November 1st
If you wish to change you payment method please login to your account online and update your payment method no later than Oct 31, 2013.  If you'd like to make your costume payment in person, you must do so prior to October 31, 2013.  Parents must notify the academy in writing if their child does not wish to participate in the Recital prior to November 1st to avoid being charged costume fees.  Costume fees are non-refundable.
