Motivational Quote

"When we begin to take our failures non-seriously, it means we are ceasing to be afraid of them. It is of immense importance to learn to laugh at ourselves."

- Katherine Mansfield

Fit Tip of the Month

Eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The large majority of people who struggle with night eating are those who skip meals or don't eat balanced meals during the day. This is a major setup for overeating at night.

January 2013

Greetings!

January is the month of change and fitness, losing weight (and getting in shape.) Most people who set New Year's resolutions fall off the wagon by Super Bowl Sunday, and within 6 months, most will be dropped off as well. Only those who set goals, keep company with fit people and have a vision remain. When you have a vision, it will not only keep you from backsliding, it will help you with choosing new goals as each new goal will naturally unfold when the previous one is realized. And that will keep you going strong into the New Year and beyond.

If you have made it your goal to drop pounds, tone up and work out more regularly in 2013 this is the time to take action. If you need help with your New Year's plan, contact Forever Fit Women for a free fitness consulation and jump start your  fitness for the 2013!

Stay Focus and Fit!

Depression Medication

Supporting the interconnection between mind and body, a recent study has found that exercise can serve as a supplemental treatment for 50% of patients with depression who have not been cured by a single antidepressant medication. The amount and type of exercise, much like the dose of a prescribed medicine, needs to be customized to the individual. Read more  >>

Change Bad Habits

Do you snack in the car while waiting to pick up the kids from sports? Do you routinely munch on crackers or chips while cooking dinner? Do you ever find yourself eating mindlessly simply because it fits a ritual you have? University of Southern California (USC) researchers recently showed why poor eating habits persist even when the food we're eating doesn't taste good.   Read more >>

Food--white-bean-soup-2

Chunky White-Bean Soup

Perfect for a busy weeknight dinner, this hearty, nutritious-and fast-soup will have your family and friends lining up for more. Pair it with good, whole-grain crusty bread and a salad, and you're all set! The next day for lunch, the leftovers (if there are any) are possibly even tastier than the soup from the night before. Consider making a double batch and freezing half. Read more >>
