Note how happy he is with his red sweater! A Stanford donor, I presume. We have yet to see any colors rejected even though bright colors are symbolic of the decadent West in some circles.

Greetings!
I'm working on a newsletter. It's taking more time than I thought. So I'm sending a few photos I received within the last 45 days. We're more than half way through distributing rice donated by Stop Hunger Now and the clothing we packed to 2000 families. Most live in refugee camps. Assuming 8 members per family, that's 16,000 people impacted by this round of distributions. It has been impossible for TIE to work below the radar for some time, but 8 years later, we have yet to be threatened or attacked, even though we support Afghans educating girls.
These photos prove our schlepping and packing parties are worthwhile. When is the next packing party? It makes sense to schedule packing parties the end of May or first of June. This allows enough time for people to conduct their Spring Cleaning for Afghanistan drives.
Hang on to your things, if you can, until May, but if you can't stand the clutter, you have porch privileges. You may drop your stuff off on my porch and we'll get it to Afghanistan. All roads may lead to Rome, but tons of stuff on its way to Afghanistan travels via my porch. Zohra tells me they will be able to resume working on the school for girls in Farza by the end of this month. The building they are currently occupying suffered significant rain and snow damage this winter. They are anxious to relocate and should be able to within a couple of months. That's 225 girls who will be off the floor, sitting in desks, in a school built by the villagers. It's "theirs" and they will protect it. Nabi and I will be in Afghanistan soon and will provide you with an update from Kabul.
This proved to take more time than I thought it would.
