Why Aren't Blacks More Politically Involved?

Black women organizations should breed their own political leaders like the Tea Party do
If you want your children to live a better life than you
After Obama was elected, Whites formed hate & supremacist groups to get their country back
Back from whom, from what, from when, from where ... back from Black?

African Americans shouldn't wait on an apology or reparation for slavery or Jim Crow
A man is the master of his own fate you know
Okay Toby ... do you want to be Kunta Kinte in Nairobi?
Or would you rather marry Erica in America?

This country is becoming browner & browner every day
Republicans fear it's moving that way
Minorities have been losing their rights through the Supreme Court, I should mention
Because we have not been paying political attention

Black lives really matter at the polls, especially during the midterm elections
We have choices; we can lead, follow or get left behind; we need political directions
More Blacks have to get involved with politics to keep this country on track
Trump wants to make this country great again ... by taking us back

Back to high-poverty segregated schools serving Blacks & Browns from the same trough
Misinformed Whites are mad as hell but vote GOP, the same folks pissing them off
Republicans are the reason we don't have jobs, Congress would rather sit on the Jobs Bill
They wouldn't want Pres Obama to get credit for putting America to work on the Hill

If we ever needed Black & Brown politicians we need them now, Trump is too cynical
Black preachers, go back to informing & encouraging your congregants to be more political
Republicans put party-politics over the American people for power & greed
They would dumb-down the country like Bush did; they aren't fit to lead 

Now is time to be more political, so we don't replace the law professor with a shyster
America showed greatness when we voted in the first Black President, & he's much nicer
