RM Athletics and RM Booster Club News and Info - June 13, 2016
RM Athletics needs several more volunteers to help the Booster Club - Most jobs can be done in just a few hours a month or can be customized based on your available time and desired area to help.
 
*Please come to our last Booster meeting this school year- Thursday 6/16 at 7pm - Media Center 

Come out Thursday to help RM Athletics plan for 2016-17. We are hoping to get input from coaches and parents. Topics include: Fundraising needs, Fundraising options, Promotional ideas for individual sports and RM Athletics.
 
Officer positions for the RMHS Booster Club will also be voted on. 

Booster Clubs are the MCPS approved group to raise money and support for athletics.  The group needs to fill important roles for the next year that starts on July 1.  While all positions are up for election, we have volunteers willing to fill many roles. 

Recording Treasurer - QuickBooks knowledge is great but not necessary  
Events Treasurer - Take deposits to the bank, recap deposits for the recording treasurer
Recording Secretary- Take notes at approximately 10 monthly meetings
VP Programs - Work with the athletic department, SGA and individual teams to promote RM Athletics  
Sponsor Program Committee - Work with returning VP of Fundraising to sell sponsorships
Communications Committee - Website,Social Media,etc
Concession Stand Helper - Flexible duties could include shopping, helping open and close the stand
Donations Committee - Help oversee the process of soliciting and collecting donations

If you want more information about the positions please touch base with Steve Schuck  or any other Booster officer.  Elections are held at the June meeting.

The Booster Club has a great team of volunteers that work all year long to help create and sell all sorts of RM spirit wear. Summer Camps and other activities  - 

Football - 4th annual Rocket Football & Speed Camp 
July 11th - July 15th 9-3pm  For boys entering grades 3-9
 
If you followed RM Football last year, you know that RM went 9-1 and had 5 sophomores and freshman starters who attended Rocket Football & Speed Camp in the past!
 
This is a non-contact camp emphasizing the fundamental football skills needed for development of younger players.  Speed and agility training is incorporated throughout the camp, making it a fun, rewarding camp for athletes of any sport.

Session 1 June 20-24  Session 2 July 11-15  For boys and girls entering grades 3-8

A fun camp designed to improve a child's skill development thru drills and games that will motivate and challenge the players to reach their potential.
