RM Athletics and RM Booster Club News and Info - March 14, 2016

Spring Sports Meet the Coach Night - Wed 3/16 in the Auditorium.  
 

7:00pm - Check in and chat with the coach, shop for spirit wear, make donations, enjoy refreshments 

7:30pm- All sports meeting and then team Meetings

 

Leave your athlete at home and come learn more about their sport, coach, game and practice schedule, team apparel, carpool , travel arrangements and more.  This year RM Athletics is asking the Booster Club to request donations of $40 per athlete per season if you're able.  Bring a check or donate now in the section below.  For each $40 donated, you get $5 coupon for the spirit shack.

RM Athletics needs to raise over $100,000 to fully fund their program.   

The Spring Donation Drive has a $4,000 goal.

Summer Camps and other activities  - 

Football - 4th annual Rocket Football & Speed Camp 
July 11th - July 15th 9-3pm  For boys entering grades 3-9
 
If you followed RM Football last year, you know that RM went 9-1 and had 5 sophomores and freshman starters who attended Rocket Football & Speed Camp in the past!
 
This is a non-contact camp emphasizing the fundamental football skills needed for development of younger players.  Speed and agility training is incorporated throughout the camp, making it a fun, rewarding camp for athletes of any sport.

Basketball - RM Basketball Camp
Session 1 June 20-24  Session 2 July 11-15  For boys and girls entering grades 3-8

A fun camp designed to improve a child's skill development thru drills and games that will motivate and challenge the players to reach their potential.

Winter Sports Recap      

Girls Basketball finished the year with a 10-13 record
 
Boy basketball finish the year with a 17-4 record, and were Division Champions.
 
Bocce team- were Division champions and County Champions.
 
Wrestling-
Edgar Cruz placed 4th at regionals and 6th at States.
Luis Orellana ended the season with 121 high school victories,  placed 2nd at Regionals and 4th at States.
 
Indoor Track-
Boys 4x200 placed 4th at Regionals and qualified for States. 
Rohann Asfaw placed 1st at Regionals at the 1 mile and 2 mile - placed 2nd at States in 1 mile and 2 mile and qualified to run at Nationals.  
 
Swim and Dive-
Girls Swimming-placed 4th at Regionals.
Girls 4x4 placed 6th at States, Girls 200 freestyle relay placed 4th at States. 
Girls Diving-Kamryn Umbel 5th place at Metros, 2nd at Regionals and 6th at States.

Boys Swimming- Division Champions, placed 3rd at METROS, placed 1st at Regionals and State Champions.  
Boys 4x2 placed 1st at States and set the State record, 200 Medley placed 1st at States.  Bouke Edskes placed 1st in 200 IM at States and set the State IM record.
Boys Diving- Ian McBain-7th at Metros, 6th at Regionals.
