Welcome to the December issue of CCC Technology for Student Success News featuring updates on the latest progress of the Online Education Initiative (OEI), Common Assessment Initiative and Education Planning Initiative (EPI).
 
Representatives from 23 of the 24 Online Education Initiative (OEI) pilot colleges met in Sacramento Oct. 21 to begin the consortium that will focus on increased access to online education for California Community Colleges (CCC) students.
  
Assessment Portability Offers Many Benefits

Portability of student assessment results has been a goal of the California Community Colleges (CCC) Common Assessment Initiative (CAI) since the initial 2011 legislation, AB 743, mandated the development of a common assessment system.

 
In November, the California Community Colleges (CCC) Education Planning Initiative (EPI) team presented at various events and meetings, conducted its first webinar, and issued an Intent to Award for a career exploration tool.
