The City Council has decided on a vetting process to sell two Successor Agency properties, which will include developing selection criteria and performance standards for potential buyers. Of particular interest has been the Mutual Orange Distributors (MOD) Packing House property.

Each year, small, independent businesses (and their customers) take part in an annual event that helps promote local economies. Small Business Saturday (November 28th) gives local business owners and residents an opportunity to make a difference in their communities.

College Students Choose U of R             
College Choice has named the University of Redlands one of the top 10 colleges in its 2016 ranking of western regional universities. Unlike other academic rankings, this higher education survey is based exclusively on factors college students said were most important to their college decision.

Local Retailers Could Cash In On Holiday Sales

As Redlands' retailers gear up for a potential 12.5% increase in holiday sales, competition for those consumer dollars will be fierce. However, a recent survey by Deloitte indicates that many shoppers (72%) will be seeking gifts at new venues such as local businesses and fairs/festivals.

New Online Tools Help Promote Tourism

The Redlands' Best Tourism Partners Group continues moving forward with initiatives to promote local tourism.  Their latest efforts include organization of a community-wide events calendar, as well as the implementation and creation of digital visitor tours including a "Sweet Treats" Tour.
