New Activity for the New Term ~ Tappy Toes

Claire Greenwood - creator & founder Tappy Toes - says: "I was a professional dancer for 10 years and I have danced all my life, so Tappy Toes is something I am very passionate about. I was teaching dance to 3-18 year olds and realised there wasn't anything on the market, dance related, geared to children under 3 years.

I had lots of parents asking if they could bring their 2 year olds to my classes, but the class structure wasn't really suitable for children that young, so I decided to create a syllabus specifically for that age group, and Tappy Toes was created.

Tappy Toes was designed to really get little ones moving, it's an active, energetic dance and movement class.  Teaching all the basics including skipping, galloping, running on tip toes, jumping, hopping, twirling and more.  Gentle stretches are disguised in fun stories, children learn to stretch their bodies, improve their posture and develop co-ordination without realising.

With the Chief Medical Officers' physical activity guidelines for the under fives being that Children of pre-school age who are capable of walking unaided should be physically active daily for at least 180 minutes, Tappy Toes is a great start."

Franchises are available. Visit www.tappytoes.com for further details and class locations.

New Activity for the New Term ~ Water Babies Leicester & Rutland

Swimming with your baby is a truly delightful experience. It's a very special time, where you are able to focus purely on each other and enjoy the closeness that playing in water creates.

Babies love water - as you can see from the excited smiles and gurgles around the pool. And swimming from birth is entirely natural. After all, they've just spent nine months in the womb!

As well as being really good fun and energetic, Water Babies' structured lessons are a wonderfully sociable activity, and classmates often become friends and a real source of support. And you'll love sharing the thrill of seeing your children learning amazing new skills each week. Particularly swimming underwater! A key part in developing their confidence, it's also one of the most exciting bits (although only a tiny fraction of everything they'll do).

Learning to respond to simple instructions is fantastic for your baby's mental development. Weekly exercise is great for them physically too; especially as healthy children are much more likely to grow into healthy adults.

Our instructors' depth of knowledge is something of which we are justifiably proud. Their training is exceptionally rigorous, covering 150 hours practical and theoretical knowledge. So you'll have the reassurance that your baby is beginning their swimming journey - and the process of learning itself - in the best professional hands.

Water Babies is the swimming company most recommended to parents by other parents.

New Forest Aqua Park Doubles the Fun for a 'Total Wibit' Walk-on-Water Experience

Following the unprecedented success of the debut launch of the UK's first outdoor Aqua Park in the New Forest last year, 2016 promises to be even bigger and better, as the Park is doubling in size.
New Forest Aqua Park's floating playground was fully booked during its first season, so this year's summer of fun will see the arrival of 20 new modules, which will comfortably accommodate up to 100 people per hour. Fans of ITV's hit series Ninja Warrior will relish the exciting challenges the Aqua Park provides, from demonstrating athletic prowess dangling from the Park's new monkey bars to maintaining balance on the high roller bridge.

The Park's MD, Mark Jury enthuses "Last year exceeded all our expectations and we even had to extend our opening hours to fit everyone in.  We have learnt from what our participants have advised us and included additional easy access areas to pull up & out of the water.  To add to the enjoyment, this year will see the installation of monkey bars, a high roller and wiggle bridge, hurdles and even a very cool lifeguard tower".

The Park also host a state of the art Rixen wakeboard cable, paddle boarding, fishing, kayaking and offer up camping facilities and a licensed Clubhouse.

Marketing Manager, Annika Paus of Wibit Sports headquarters in Germany says "We would like to congratulate New Forest Water Park for such an awesome first season with Wibit.  We appreciate the professionalism they have shown in every field of the business".

The Aqua Park re-opens on Saturday 30th April 2016 and has just launched their new website, designed with user-friendly navigation and booking system, plus an overall fresh new look.
