Plans for the HWPP Strategic component are now available on the AHW website. Two RFPs are currently open calling for:
  • Multi-sector Community Coalitions
  • An MCW-Partner Team
The HWPP Strategic component is focused on catalyzing health improvement in community-
based behavioral health. By utilizing the assets of both community and MCW partners, while leveraging the AHW Endowment's resources, the HWPP Strategic component will bring stakeholders together to determine the critical behavioral health needs of local communities and work collaboratively to create solutions to improve a prioritized health need in Wisconsin.

Policy, systems and environmental change applications due January 8, 2016

The HWPP's Responsive component's fourth funding opportunity is now open. The funding will support Wisconsin-based organizations, local leaders and citizens to create strong, healthy neighborhoods and communities.

  • Participants will demonstrate how a range of partners from multiple sectors can work together to pursue evidence-based strategies around grassroots policy, environmental or systems change (PSE) that address the key determinants that most strongly influence community health.
  • Successful projects will demonstrate an appropriate budget and time frame for their proposed scope of work.
  • Approximately $1 million to $1.5 million is available to support four to six projects

Upcoming learning and funding opportunities

  • Partnership Development and Project Planning
  • Funded Project Support and Peer Learning
  • Dissemination and Sustainability
Upcoming opportunities include:
  • Hands-on learning sessions. Move from knowledge to action in a variety of capacity building areas and enhance your impact within community initiatives.
  • Change incubator funding. Overcome challenges and increase your readiness for, and effectiveness in carrying out larger community health initiatives.
