ADVANCING A HEALTHIER WISCONSIN ENDOWMENT: COLLABORATE INVEST CHANGE
HEALTHIER WISCONSIN PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
JUNE 16, 2015
Submissions for Responsive funding opportunity due July 10, 2015

Submissions are open for the Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program's latest Responsive component funding opportunity. The Call for Changemakers Request for Proposals is available online and is guided by the 2014-2018 AHW Five-Year Plan.

The funding supports Wisconsin-based, multi-sector, community-MCW academic coalitions or networks to work together to translate public health data and evidence into actions to pursue grassroots policy, environmental or systems change (changing the regulations, rules, priorities, protocols or practices within and across organizations and communities and/or changing the physical or material components of the community environment) that address the key determinants that most strongly influence health.

Successful projects will demonstrate an appropriate budget and timeframe for their proposed scope of work. Approximately $1 million to $1.5 million is available to support four to six projects.

Strategic component update

The HWPP Strategic component is designed to catalyze health improvement in community-based mental and behavioral health.

By utilizing the assets of MCW's community and academic partners, and also leveraging the AHW Endowment's financial and non-financial resources, the component brings stakeholders together to work collaboratively and create solutions to improve mental and behavioral health in Wisconsin.

In April 2015, HWPP connected with more than 150 community stakeholders to engage in a dialogue regarding the opportunities and challenges in the field of mental and behavioral health. Participants identified current initiatives across the state, discussed successes and challenges within the mental health area, and expressed their perceptions of the most important priorities in mental and behavioral health.

The MCW Consortium is using the discussion from these community forums to continue developing the Strategic component.
