The Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development Innovation's PNC Trail Blazer Award and Wells Fargo People's Choice Award presented to Benedict Center's Sisters Diversion Project

The 2015 Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development Innovation (MANDI) were held on April 15, 2015, at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. More than 800 individuals, including non-profit, corporate and public sector leaders, attended the event hosted by LISC Milwaukee.

The MANDI's PNC Trail Blazer Award recognizes an innovative approach to a community problem. Eugene Manzanet, Vice President, PNC Bank, presented the PNC Trail Blazer Award to Benedict Center for the organization's Sisters Diversion Project. This project, which received Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program support in 2013 and 2015, works in conjunction with police and prosecutors and offers an alternative to incarceration to stop the cycle of prostitution.

In addition, Benedict Center's Sisters Diversion Project received one of three Wells Fargo People's Choice Awards. Voters participated online and chose Benedict Center's Sisters Diversion Project and two other Milwaukee community efforts to receive public recognition and a $1000 cash award.
