Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program (HWPP) is pleased to release a new funding opportunity, that has been guided by the 2014-2018 Five-Year Plan.

The funding will support Wisconsin-based, multi-sector, community/MCW academic coalitions or networks to work together to translate public health data and evidence into actions to pursue grassroots policy, environmental or systems change (changing the regulations, rules, priorities, protocols or practices within and across organizations and communities; changing the physical or material components of the community environment) that address the key determinants that most strongly influence health.

Successful projects will demonstrate an appropriate budget and timeframe for their proposed scope of work. Approximately $1M - $1.5M is available to support 4-6 projects.

Call for Human Research Protection Training Program Product Development

The Capacity Building Component of the AHW 2014-2018 Five-Year Plan will provide opportunities to AHW and our stakeholder to drive change forward through:
  • discovery of valuable tools and resources
  • convening networks of innovators through online and face-to-face interactions
  • igniting game-changer solutions through collaborative competitions

The first opportunity released out of Capacity Building is the Call for Human Research Protection Training Program Product Development.

Following up on the robust discussion about Institutional Review Boards and Community-Engaged Research at the March 2014 Working Together to Make It Better conference, the AHW endowment has released a funding opportunity seeking development of an alternative training program that meets both the needs of our community partners and the regulations related to protecting human research subjects.
