HWPP Responsive - Call for Changemakers
Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program (HWPP) is pleased to release a new funding opportunity, that has been guided by the 2014-2018 Five-Year Plan.
The funding will support Wisconsin-based, multi-sector, community/MCW academic coalitions or networks to work together to translate public health data and evidence into actions to pursue grassroots policy, environmental or systems change (changing the regulations, rules, priorities, protocols or practices within and across organizations and communities; changing the physical or material components of the community environment) that address the key determinants that most strongly influence health.
Successful projects will demonstrate an appropriate budget and timeframe for their proposed scope of work. Approximately $1M - $1.5M is available to support 4-6 projects.Learn more >>

Information Session - Call for Changemakers To help support Call for Changemaker applicant submissions, information sessions will be held on the MCW campus with simultaneous web-based and teleconference delivery.
Sessions will be offered on: Thursday, June 19th from 2-4 PMOR
Friday, June 20th from 9-11AMParticipation in an informational session is not required, but is strongly encouraged.

 Call for Human Research Protection Training Program Product Development
The Capacity Building Component of the AHW 2014-2018 Five-Year Plan will provide opportunities to AHW and our stakeholder to drive change forward through:- discovery of valuable tools and resources
- convening networks of innovators through online and face-to-face interactions
- igniting game-changer solutions through collaborative competitions
The first opportunity released out of Capacity Building is the Call for Human Research Protection Training Program Product Development.
Following up on the robust discussion about Institutional Review Boards and Community-Engaged Research at the March 2014 Working Together to Make It Better conference, the AHW endowment has released a funding opportunity seeking development of an alternative training program that meets both the needs of our community partners and the regulations related to protecting human research subjects. |

The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin endowment launches new website
The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin (AHW) endowment developed a new website to better serve public visitors and its funded projects. Please update any bookmarks to the new URL: http://www.mcw.edu/Advancing-Healthier-WI-Endowment.htm. The website's new features include revised navigation, a spotlight stories section with video gallery, and a new section for staying up-to-date on news and events. All other contact information has remained the same.
