Learning from the Past, Focusing on the Future

The Community & Academic Partnerships: Learning from the Past, Focusing on the Future workshop was held Tuesday, February 26, 2013.  The day focused on disseminating lessons learned from over 100 previously funded projects and encouraging additional learning through bi-directional conversation.  In addition, ample opportunities were provided to network and build additional relationships.

  • School Community Partnership for Mental Health - Dena Radtke, Milwaukee Public Schools and Sheri Johnson, Pediatrics, MCW
  • Los Cuidadores Unidos: United Latino Caregivers - Al Castro, United Community Center and Melissa DeNomie, Family and Community Medicine, MCW
  • More Than a Pretty Place: Activating Urban Parks to Improve Community Health and Wellness - Beth Fetterly Heller, Urban Ecology Center and Kirsten Beyer, Institute for Health and Society, MCW
  • Patient at Risk: Wisconsin's EIF Repository for Children with Special Healthcare Needs - Steve Bane, West Allis Fire Department, Kristina Manke, Patient at Risk and Kathleen Beckmann Sluzenski, Pediatrics, MCW
