Christmas Cavalcade

It's been our very own Cape Cod Christmas tradition for close to a decade. Chandler Travis and a cast of thousands put together a variety show for the ages to benefit the NOAH shelter for the homeless in Hyannis. This year's Cavalcade takes place on Sunday, December 14 at the Jailhouse Tavern in Orleans at 7 pm. There will be kids of all ages, many of your favorite local bands, impromptu (and promptu?) conglomerations of musicians playing tunes outside of their normal repertoire, and just as many colorful sweaters as you could want to see. You can find out much more about the event at Chandler's website here. If you can't make it to the show in Orleans, Chandler and his Boston posse are doing their version of the show at Johnny D's in Somerville on Thursday, December 11 at 7:30 pm.

Yule For Fuel

Along the same lines as the Christmas Cavalcade, but with a different cast of characters, the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater hosts the Yule for Fuel every Saturday night between now and Christmas. In fact, the two congregations collaborate on a smorgasbord of goodwill on Saturday December 13. Yule for Fuel features a different line up each Saturday night, so be sure to visit the WHAT website for all the details. There's bound to be someone you want to see in each of the shows, so maybe you should just go to them all. And the Cavalcade is on a Sunday, so you can go to that too!

Ernest Cooper Award
We are overflowing with gratitude for all the gifts that the last year brought us. Thanks to our (still relatively new) transmitter in Orleans and our continued outreach to the lower and mid-Cape, we have more listeners, members and volunteers than ever. A very special note of thanks must go to our past Station Manager, Rev. John Nelson. The Rev took the reins at a time when there were too many pots on the stove, and some of them had developed into full-on grease fires. His interim appointment ended up lasting more than two years, but he was able to leave an organization that was in infinitely better shape than the one he was called to lead. In honor of his contributions, Rev. John Nelson was recognized with the Ernest Cooper Award for Outrageous Support, the highest honor we can bestow on anyone in our organization. Thanks, Rev.!
A few more ducats gets us to our end-of-year goal. Make your tax-deductible contribution today.
