Help Us Help You: Get Your News and Events to the Diocese Website, Bridges

PA
RRISH - Did you know that you can put YOUR news and events on the Diocese website?

The Diocese website gets about 7,000 unique visitors a week. Sending your news on Bridges gets it out to over 2,000 across the Diocese.

There are two ways to get the news out:
  1. You can use our VERY HANDY form. You write a headline, give us some words (typically pasted from your Sunday bulletin), and then give us contact information. How could it be any easier than that? The key is that it must be in complete sentences (don't just email us a flier) and it must have contact information. All you do is CLICK HERE for the lowdown. Benefit: Items go up when you like, and the form helps make sure we have enough information so the process doesn't slow things down.
  2. You can upload it yourself by logging into our Digital Faith network. It will then appear in the COMMUNITY NEWS section of our Diocesan front page or the COMMUNITY EVENTS section (you can decide how). Benefit: Items go on the front page when they are posted, and stay up until new items are posted.

Additionally, please put Communications Director Garland Pollard on your email blast list that goes to your congregation. It helps us keep track of what is going on and we sometimes pull items from that to post on Diocese Facebook, website, etc.

Diocese Compiles List of Scout Programs

PARRISH
- The Diocese is putting together a listing page of Boy and Girl Scout troops. This is the place to list all those kids groups that meet at your church.

This is important in building community both for our Diocese and your church, if you choose to offer such a program, as parents searching for such a program will typically go to Google.

We are just starting the page, so please email us and we can list you there. Click on our SCOUTING PAGE to find out more.
