- The Presiding Bishop, The Most Reverend John Eldridge Hines, conducted a three-hour service at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Clearwater.
- The Diocese celebrated Bishop Hargrave's Tenth Anniversary.
- The Rev. John Ellis Large retired after 10 years of ministry with the Diocese. His special interest was in healing ministries.
- The Episcopal Churchwomen gave $12,492.67 to the United Thank Offering's Fall Ingathering. The group was set to meet at the Sarasota Motor Hotel; the general chairman of the meeting is Mrs. B.C. Booth, Sarasota Deanery Director.
- "God Is Not Dead" author Gertrude Behanna, a woman whose life was described as a "parable of the prodigal daughter", spoke at St. Andrew's Tampa.
- St. John's Tampa installed a new pipe organ built by Casavant in Quebec.
