Message from Shane and Melissa
Last month, our Foundation celebrated its 4th anniversary! Looking back, we can't help but feel extremely blessed and grateful for everything you, our supporters, have helped us to accomplish. We have and will continue to impact the lives of thousands of underserved children throughout the country, providing them with much-needed educational and recreational opportunities.
Over this past off-season, our Foundation had six events in Las Vegas, Maui and Oahu, so we have a lot to fill you in on. Below, you'll read about our Celebrity Dinner & Golf Classic, Youth Baseball Clinic, Kids Holiday Party and more!
Now, with Spring Training in full force, we look forward to the upcoming year. We have a couple of exciting projects we're working on and hope to have more to share with you soon.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us!
Aloha,
 Melissa and Shane Victorino

OUR WORK
Baseball Clinic Offers Maui Youth a Fun, Memorable Experience
Close to 175 children joined Shane and local high school coaches for our 2nd annual Youth Baseball Clinic on Maui, this past November!
Groups from Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui, Kihei Youth Center, Paia Youth & Cultural Center and local Little League teams attended the free, half-day event. Participants learned fundamentals on the field, received a clinic T-shirt, gift bag and dinner courtesy of Zippy's!
Making the Holidays Brighter for Kids in Need
Thanks to the generous support of the Las Vegas community, we collected over 1,000 toys at our 6th annual toy drive, benefitting The Shade Tree, St. Jude's Ranch for Children and Child Focus.
We also hosted a holiday party for the children of St. Jude's Ranch at Opportunity Village's Magical Forest. St. Jude's has a 45-year history of caring for abused, abandoned and neglected children and we were thrilled to treat them to a holiday dinner, photos with Santa, toys/gifts and tickets to the Magical Forest!
Shane Recognized for Philanthropic Work with the Foundation
Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie and Lt. Governor Shan Tsutsui issued a proclamation declaring January 27, 2014 as "Shane Victorino Foundation Day" in acknowledgment of SVF's contributions to the community.
Shane was also recognized by the Hawaii State Senate and House on January 28, 2014 for his efforts both on and off the field.

Donor Spotlight - Golden Gaming

The $20,000 raised at their November 2013 event will help us tremendously in furthering our efforts to provide educational and recreational opportunities to underserved children! Golden Gaming has been an amazing partner to us and we are truly grateful for their support!
