This newsletter will cover what CFPA has been working very hard on over the last month from Election results, Scholarship opportunies, Paralegal of the Year, Support the Troops, and Annual Holiday Social.  Be sure to pay close attention to the upcoming deadlines!

We will be collecting items for the troops beginning September 1st through October 30th. If you have a friend, family member or just know someone who knows someone overseas, please email us the information so that we can send them goodies for Christmas. We appreciate Esquire Deposition Services sponsorship and allowing us the space for pack day! Anyone who would like to donate funds to assist CFPA with postage costs is more that welcome. We take whatever we can get for our soldiers!

WE NEED NAMES of service men and women that we can send care packages to.  If you have any family members or if your co-workers have any family serving our country overseas please have them contact us at publicrelations@cfpainc.org  or nalaliaison@cfpainc.org with the name, rank, address and any picture of their loved ones they can share.

CFPA IS NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR  

PARALEGAL OF THE YEAR 

 

 

      On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Central Florida Paralegal Association, Inc. ("CFPA"), we are very proud to announce that once again, we are currently seeking nominations from law firms, corporations and paralegal peers in the Central Florida area for CFPA's "Paralegal of the Year" award.  Annually honoring an exceptional paralegal with an incomparable level of performance is one of our many goals as a professional organization for paralegals. 

 

       If you have a paralegal in your firm or corporation which you believe is deserving of this honor, I am inviting you to please submit a letter of recommendation nominating your paralegal for this award.  Your letter should include your paralegal's full name, how long he or she has worked at your firm/corporation, as well as a detailed explanation of the talents or qualities exhibited that make this paralegal unique. Membership in CFPA is not a prerequisite for an attorney nomination.  Paralegal Peer nominations must be members of CFPA.   

 

 

        Your nomination letter may be submitted by e-mail transmission only to our Board of Directors President at president@cfpainc.org.  If your nominee is chosen as the recipient of the award, you will be contacted. The recipient paralegal will only be informed they have been nominated.  The recipient will be announced and honored at our Annual Holiday Social which is scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2014.
