Treasure Your Health women's health education program for the third year in a row.
Treasure Your Health brings information about breast health and mammography to women and teens with disabilities and their families. The tri-fold display combines facts with fun activities to make information easy to understand and absorb.
The grant also pays for PWP practice support for women preparing for mammograms or gynecology exams.
New this year, PWP will train mammogram technologists to help them support ladies with disabilities to complete these exams. Training at Beebe and Bayhealth Medical Centers will begin this fall.
Oral Health in the Home

Oral Health in the Home toothbrushing and flossing training program to people with disabilities and their caregivers in the community.
For children and youth with autism, Autism Delaware has funded a second year of PWP's Oral Health in the Home, this year at the John S. Charlton School in Dover.

In Appreciation
PWP has received $1,000 from Principal Trust Company (SM) for training our practice specialists. Since 2006, the company has given PWP a total of $8,000 toward training staff and professionals. This support has helped PWP expand its capacity to serve people both at our Center and at area hospital settings.
During that time, Marilynn Toomey, Communication Coordinator, has been the face of Principal Trust Company for Practice Without Pressure. At the end of this month, Marilynn will be retiring after 21 years at Principal Trust Company, a member company of The Principal Financial Group based in Des Moines, Iowa. We wish her and her family all the best in her retirement.
