Build-out Analysis
Templeton Demographics provided a "build-out analysis" to the board during their workshop. This is the first of several demographic reports that will be used to project enrollment growth and identify corresponding facilities needs.
The build-out analysis considers what would happen if all of the available land within the district's boundaries was developed. It's a hypothetical scenario that helps determine how much growth is possible, not what level of growth is likely over a specific time period. In this scenario, total enrollment could exceed 28,000.
The demographer also presented a preliminary ten-year forecast for enrollment growth based on current enrollment by grade level and recent trends in enrollment growth. This initial analysis projects a total enrollment of 14,099 students for the 2023-2024 school year.
The report from Templeton Demographics can be found on the district's website at www.bisd.net/bisd2025.

Summer is a busy time for Belton ISD as we prepare to open new campuses, refurbish old campuses, hire new employees, and provide opportunities for professional development.
We're fortunate to have a staff that's dedicated to our students and their success. The four employees, who were promoted to new leadership positions on Monday, exemplify that commitment to our kids.
With every opening, we cast a wide net to find the best person to serve our students. However, we often discover that the right candidate is already working in Belton ISD. That's just one more way that our investments in professional development and retaining a high-quality staff pay dividends.
Sincerely,
Susan Kincannon, Ed.D.
Superintendent
