Technology Use- BHS Science and Math Classes
Students in science and math classes shared with the Board some of the Apps being used in class. Biology students use the free CK-12 interactive textbook to access more engaging content. In physics, students have used the iPad's camera to video objects in motion. Teachers also use Testmoz as an online means of assessment that gives immediate feedback. In math classes, Edmodo is widely used to post class assignments, turn in assignments and increase the quality and timeliness of comunication between teacher and students. The iPads also allow teachers to "flip" their classrooms so that students interact with content through teacher-produced videos or reading assgnments outside of class, allowing time to work on problems and other higher-level skills during class. |
Construction Update
Work is progressing on High Point Elementary with paving of the drives and parking lots to be completed by the end of April. |
Chisholm Trail Elementary Design
The Board approved the design plan for Chisholm Trail Elementary. Both the design of High Point Elementary and Chisholm Trail Elementary are based on the prototype of Tarver Elementary with a few modifications. Pictures can be found in this month's Board packet. |

Mrs. Cornblum will be the new principal at Sparta Elementary as current principal, Amy Armstrong, becomes principal at the new High Point Elementary. |
